Each year at the beginning of August, Red Lodge hosts the Festival of Nations. Red Lodge was originally a mining town peopled by different ethnic groups - Italians, Finns, Scots, Germans, Slavs. They celebrate their varied backgrounds in this festival of food, song, and folkways that draws thousands of visitors and returning residents each year. It is fun and educational for all.
